* WHERE...Northern Lander and Northern Eureka, Southern Lander and Southern Eureka, Northern Elko, Southwest Elko, Humboldt, and Northeastern Nye Counties.
* WHEN...From 11 AM PDT Friday morning until 8 PM PDT Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.
* AFFECTED AREAS: HUMBOLDT COUNTY ... NORTHERN ELKO COUNTY ... NORTHERN LANDER COUNTY AND NORTHERN EUREKA COUNTY ... SOUTHERN LANDER COUNTY AND SOUTHERN EUREKA COUNTY ... SOUTHWEST ELKO COUNTY ... NORTHEASTERN NYE COUNTY
Instructions:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, remain out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
