Black Mountain Woman Charged with Felony Meth Possession
Deputy William Guzman with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 43-year-old Sheron Nichole Nelon of Black Mountain with felony Possession of Methamphetamine. She was denied bond due to already being out on pretrial release.
On August 14, Deputy Guzman initiated a vehicle stop on Fairview Rd. for a traffic violation. Nelon was a passenger in the vehicle.
With the assistance of MCSO K9 Hiko, deputies and detectives located a suspected amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on Nelon.
She was placed under arrest and transported to the McDowell County Detention Center.
