Police Seek Help Identifying Theft Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help identifying the male suspect pictured below, who took a package delivered to a resident of an apartment building on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
Police responded to the theft, which occurred at approximately 10:26 a.m. in the 300 block of 6th Avenue. The victim received notification that the package had arrived, but the metal containers she ordered were not at the building when she came home around 7 p.m. A Black male, captured on surveillance video entered the building, took the package and left with it.
The suspect wore dreadlocks, a white tank top, blue shorts, and white and blue sneakers.
