Crime Blotter for the Week of August 10, 2025 – August 16, 2025

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported from August 10, 2025 to August 16, 2025.
 
August 10, 2025

  • Vandalism (Vehicles)
2400 block of Maynard Street – Between 12 AM on August 10, 2025 and 6 AM on August 11, 2025, the suspect vandalized six (6) vehicles that were parked along the residential street. No surveillance video is available. Named person of interest. No arrest has been made. Temple DB to follow-up.

August 11, 2025
  • No significant activity.

August 12, 2025
  • Grand Theft Auto
1031 Central Avenue (Envision Ford) – The incident was reported on August 12, 2025 at 8 AM, but the actual incident occurred on February 29, 2024 between 9 AM and 9 PM. The suspect stole a 2024 Ford Maverick Gry from the car dealership. Surveillance video is available. No arrest has been made. Temple DB to follow-up.

August 14, 2025
  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon (knife)
1600 Mountain Avenue (Walmart) – On August 14, 2025 at 6:34 PM, after the suspect was detained by Loss Prevention pending a shoplifting investigation, the suspect produced a knife and threatened staff. Good video footage available. No arrest has been made. Temple DB to follow-up.
 
  • Grand Theft (Vehicle parts)
1031 Central Avenue (Envision Ford) – On August 14, 2025 at 3 AM, the suspect stole several miscellaneous vehicle parts from a vehicle parked at the car dealership. Video footage available. No arrest has been made. Temple DB to follow-up. 

August 15, 2025
  • Burglary (Vehicle)
2300 block of Maynard Street – Between 6 AM on August 14, 2025 and 1 PM on August 15, 2025, the suspect smashed the vehicle's rear driver side window and stole several miscellaneous tools from inside. No surveillance video is available. No arrest has been made. Temple DB to follow-up.
 
  • Burglary (Vehicle)
​​​​​​​2400 block of Maynard Street – Between 8 PM on August 14, 2025 and 5 PM on August 15, 2025, the suspect broke the truck’s bed cover and stole miscellaneous tools and a handgun. No surveillance video is available. No arrest has been made. Temple DB to follow-up.
 
  • Burglary (Residence)
1900 block of Park Rose Avenue – On August 15, 2025 between 5-7 PM, the suspect pried open the garage door and stole the victim’s vehicle. Nothing was taken from inside the home. No surveillance video is available. No arrest has been made. Temple DB to follow-up.

August 16, 2025
  • Burglary (Vehicle)
1600 Mountain Avenue (Walmart) – On August 16, 2025 between 1:30-2, the suspect smashed the passenger side front window of the victim’s vehicle. Nothing was taken from the vehicle. Surveillance video is available. No arrest has been made. Temple DB to follow-up.
 
  • Robbery (Armed)
1800 block of Park Rose Avenue – On August 16, 2025 at 11:43 PM, the suspects pulled up to the victim’s parked vehicle, produced a weapon, and stole several personal items from the victim’s person. No surveillance video is available, however, good photos are available. Person of interest has been named. No arrest has been made. Temple DB to follow-up.

  • Avoid double parking
  • Refrain from loading or unloading children across the street from the school.
  • Exercise heightened vigilance to look for children in school zones, adjacent to playgrounds and parks, and throughout all residential neighborhoods.
  • Never overtake a vehicle that has stopped for pedestrians.
  • Always exercise utmost caution to prevent striking pedestrians, regardless of who has the right of way.
  • Never attempt to pass a bus from behind.
