* WHERE...Northern Lander and Northern Eureka, Northern Elko, South Central Elko, Southwest Elko, and Humboldt Counties.
* WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 8 PM PDT Friday. For the second Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 8 PM PDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.
* AFFECTED AREAS: HUMBOLDT COUNTY ... NORTHERN ELKO COUNTY ... NORTHERN LANDER COUNTY AND NORTHERN EUREKA COUNTY ... SOUTHWEST ELKO COUNTY ... SOUTH CENTRAL ELKO COUNTY
Instructions:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, remain out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
