Traffic stop leads to felony gun arrest 
On today’s date at approximately 12:04 p.m., officers from the Santa Maria Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement stop near Miller/Enos after observing a person riding a motorized scooter in a reckless manner.
Upon contacting the rider, identified as 34-year-old Walter Bruce Gonzalez Grijalva, a resident of Santa Maria, officers located a collapsible baton in his pants pocket and a loaded handgun in his waistband. Grijalva is a prohibited possessor and he was arrested for multiple weapons charges.
