1. Train vs Pedestrian Fatality (0759) 1200 Block of Aurora Street, Seaport District
Officers responded to the Union Pacific Railroad tracks near the listed location and located a male subject who had been struck by a train. Medical personnel responded and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
2. Kidnapping Arrest (1501) 100 Block of Grove Street, Civic District
The female victim, 33, was inside her residence when the known suspect forced his way inside, grabbed her, and pulled her outside. A witness intervened, and the suspect fled. Officers located the suspect when he returned, armed with a knife. The suspect fled from officers but was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. ARRESTED: Jalen Ward, 31, for kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, and stalking.
