Aerial Mosquito Pesticide Application Spraying 8/25 & 8/27
Please be advised that on August 25 & 27, 2025, Mosquito Control will be performing aerial pesticide application spraying in Glynn County, including Jekyll Island, pending no weather impacts.
Aerial treatments scheduled for Monday, August 25, will focus on adult mosquitoes, while the aerial spraying planned for Wednesday, August 27, will concentrate on larvacide treatment. The larvacide treatment is a reschedule from a planned treatment last week.

On Friday, August 22, Glynn County was notified of positive mosquito pool tests for West Nile virus at five locations in Brunswick, including Blythe Island Regional Park, FLETC, GP Paper Mill, and New Castle Street.
In response, Glynn County Public Works and Vector Disease Control International are:
— Treating breeding sites
— Monitoring mosquito populations
— Conducting evening truck spraying and aerial spraying
At this time, no human cases have been reported in Glynn County. The Georgia Coastal Health District has been notified, and updates will be shared as needed.
