Meridian Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Reckless Dirt Bike Rider
Meridian, ID – The Meridian Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a male rider who has been observed operating an electric dirt bike recklessly in north Meridian.
On Thursday, August 21, 2025, at approximately 8:17 a.m., officers observed a male, who appears to possibly be a juvenile, riding a white and black electric dirt bike recklessly near N. Linder Road and N. Coppercloud Way. When an officer attempted to stop him, the rider fled at a high rate of speed into the Bridge Tower subdivision.
The rider was spotted again by additional responding officers and fled on two more occasions. The same individual has also been reported riding recklessly in the area of Rocky Mountain High School, according to the School Resource Officer. He is believed to frequent the Linder Road corridor between Chinden Boulevard and Ustick Road.
The suspect was last seen wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt, black pants, grey shoes, and a black dirt bike helmet with white goggles.
The Meridian Police Department would like to remind the community that electric dirt bikes are classified as motorcycles under Idaho law. This means they require a valid driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement, current registration, and insurance to be legally operated on public roadways.
If you have any information that could help identify this rider, please contact the Meridian Police Department by calling Ada County Dispatch’s non-emergency line at (208) 377-6790.
