Shadowrock Park will be closed to the public until at least August 29, 2025. City Staff are actively assessing safety concerns and addressing damage to park infrastructure.  The extent of the destruction and the work required to reopen the park is substantial.   The City wishes to thank the County Commissioners for allowing TC Road and Bridge for offering assistance.  Coordination between the City, County, and Corps must also be navigated   
While the park remains closed to the public, City Staff is hopeful that a portion of the Park may be re-opened for the upcoming holiday weekend.( Updates will be released.) Taney County Road and Bridge assistance in debris-clean up should begin Tuesday morning(08/26/2025). 
When heavy equipment use is complete, opportunities for volunteer cleanup efforts may be available and additional future plans will be discussed at an upcoming meeting with public input – (Date to be decided).

“In the meantime the following Forsyth parks are open - Shoals Bend Park located on East Hwy 76 just pass Great Escapes Resort,  Gate Way Trail located on Panther Street just behind the Forsyth Boys and Girls club and the walk trail from Shadowrock to Empire Park.”
