Fourteen Arrested at a Chino Hills DUI Checkpoint

Chino Hills, Calif. – On Saturday, August 23, 2025, 14 drivers were arrested, cited and released at a DUI checkpoint but none for driving under the influence.
The DUI checkpoint was held at Chino Hills Parkway and Pipeline Avenue from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Those arrested were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license. Deputies contacted 1,218 vehicles, and 57 vehicles were screened without any DUI arrests.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
