Wilmington Police arrest man in connection with attempted burglary:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with an attempted burglary.
On August 23, at approximately 9:40 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 1700 block of North Union Street, in reference to an attempted burglary incident. Upon arrival, police made contact with the victim, who advised they had confronted a male subject breaking into their vehicle. At which time, the suspect suggested that he was armed with a firearm and made threatening statements to the victim. A short time later, police observed a male subject matching the suspect description in the 1300 block of North Clayton Street. At this time, police took 50-year-old Frankie Galindez into custody without further incident.
Galindez has been charged with the following offenses:
- Aggravated Menacing
- Attempted Burglary (Third Degree)
- Menacing
