INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: 5100 Block of Adobe Road, City of Twentynine Palms
VICTIM(S): Confidential Male, Resident of Twentynine Palms
SUMMARY: On Monday, August 25, 2025, deputies from the Morongo Basin Station responded to a report of a traffic collision involving a bicyclist and a motor vehicle. The collision occurred on Adobe Road near Calle Todd Lane, in the city of Twentynine Palms.
According to information obtained during the investigation, the bicyclist was traveling northbound on Adobe Road and was weaving in and out of the northbound lanes of travel. The bicyclist then veered into the southbound lanes on Adobe Road, where he collided with a vehicle.
When deputies arrived, they found witnesses administering CPR to the bicyclist, who was lying in the roadway. Deputies and personnel from San Bernardino County Fire continued life-saving measures, but the bicyclist ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Morongo Basin Station’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) has assumed the investigation. The driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. At this time, driving under the influence does not appear to be a factor.
