On August 25th, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., as part of an ongoing burglary investigation, deputies from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Kern Valley substation executed a search warrant in the 3800 block of Higham Avenue.
During the search, deputies located and seized one illegal “fish table” gaming machine commonly associated with unlicensed gambling activity. Deputies also recovered several stolen items related to burglaries around the Kern Valley area.
Jesse James Peal, age 36, was arrested for several felony violations including possessing a gambling machine, possession of stolen property, burglary, and possession of narcotics
