Deputies Respond to an Unknown Problem Call and Find a Deceased Male; Suspect Arrested for Murder

INCIDENT: PC 187 - Murder
LOCATION: 102700 Block of Alamo Street, Lucerne Valley
SUSPECT(S): Arthur Archuleta, 70-years-old, Resident of Lucerne Valley
VICTIM(S): Brian Frash, 36-years-old, Resident of Lucerne Valley
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at about 3:34 a.m., deputies in Lucerne Valley responded to a residence for an unknown problem. When deputies arrived, they located a male subject inside a bedroom who had been shot numerous times. Brian Frash was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail also responded and assumed the investigation. Through investigation, it was learned a verbal altercation occurred between Arthur Archuleta and Frash before the shooting occurred. Archuleta, who also lived in the residence, was arrested and booked in at the High Desert Detention Center for PC 187 – Murder where he remains without bail.
