Statesville Woman Charged with Felony Drug Trafficking and More
Detective David Jones with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Community Impact Team charged 43-year-old Jessica Agosto Bridges of Statesville with two counts of felony Trafficking in Methamphetamine; felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance; felony Possession of Methamphetamine; and misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was issued a $175,000 secured bond.
On August 21, Deputy Juan Bustos de Luna initiated a traffic stop on a Chevy Malibu just off Exit 83 on I-40 West for a traffic violation. Bridges was the driver of the vehicle.
With the assistance of MCSO K9 Hiko, detectives searched the vehicle and Bridges, locating suspected methamphetamine (40 grams), fentanyl, Suboxone strips, and drug paraphernalia.
