At 541 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Oasis State Park, or 10 miles north of Portales, moving northeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Clovis, Portales, Texico, Melrose, Grady, Ranchvale, Saint Vrain, Cannon Air Force Base, Oasis State Park and Broadview. This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 354 and 397.
