Please be aware of the upcoming traffic impacts on Miles Avenue and Washington Street during the holiday weekend and week of September 1 as the City conducts ongoing improvement work. Work will temporarily pause for the Labor Day weekend. However, construction will resume on Tuesday, September 2. To ensure the safety of our community and project crew, temporary lane closures will be in effect:
- Friday, August 29-Monday, September 1:
- Westbound Miles Avenue – Two lanes will remain open.
- Eastbound Miles Avenue – One lane will remain open.
- Southbound Washington Street – All through lanes will remain open.
- Beginning Tuesday, September 2:
- Eastbound Miles Avenue – One lane will be closed for landscaping installation.
- Westbound Miles Avenue – Both lanes will remain open.
- Southbound Washington Street – All through lanes will remain open.
- Ongoing Construction:
- Work will continue on the parkways and medians along both Miles Avenue and Washington Street.
Please exercise caution when traveling through the area, as construction activity may affect traffic flow. Watch for stopped traffic, pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers. Expect delays and consider using alternate routes when possible.
