Fatal Traffic Accident 
On September 1, 2025, at 11:28am, Middleton Officers responded to a car versus motorcycle crash on US Highway 12 just south of Airport Road in Middleton. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. Eastbound Highway 12 was closed for several hours during the crash investigation. The highway has since reopened. This case is still under investigation by the Middleton Police Department with the assistance of the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team.
