On September 2, 2025, at 6:10 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of an ongoing physical altercation that had been occurring at the Love’s Truck Stop located at 901 E 1250 S near Haubstadt.  Deputies located the suspect vehicle, a Gray 2016 GMC Sierra with Kentucky plates and approached it to conduct a welfare check of the occupants.  Upon separating the occupants, Deputy Michael Bates determined that a physical altercation had occurred.  After an investigation Deputy Bates placed 46-year-old Issac Kennedy of Indianapolis into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Detention Center.  Upon arriving at the Detention Center Mr. Kennedy was charged with Confinement, Battery, and Strangulation.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
