Police Investigate Shooting Incident Near the 3800 Block of San Pablo Ave
Emeryville, CA – On September 2, 2025, at approximately 1:12 a.m., the Emeryville Police Department received a call from a resident reporting the sound of gunshots in the area of the 3800 block of San Pablo Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene and located evidence of a shooting. Preliminary investigation revealed that a male victim had been involved in a verbal argument prior to the incident. The argument escalated, resulting in gunfire. The victim was found to have sustained injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.
The suspects attempted to flee the area in a vehicle; however, UC Berkeley Police Department officers, who were in the immediate area, contacted and detained them without further incident.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, where medical staff subsequently pronounced the victim deceased.
Currently, the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident remain under active investigation.
