Two Arrested and Thirteen Cited at Simi Valley DUI Checkpoint
Simi Valley, Calif. – On August 30, 2025, two drivers were arrested for DUI and thirteen drivers were cited for driving without a license or driving with a suspended license at a DUI checkpoint on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
The DUI checkpoint was held at Madera Road and Woodranch Parkway from 7:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Thirteen drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, 986 vehicles were contacted. Two drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol (23152(a) VC).
Checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
