OWI/Pursuit

On 09/02/2025, at approximately 11:40 p.m., Janesville Police Officers attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle, but it fled at a high rate of speed.  Officers deployed stop sticks which were successful, and a pursuit invention technique (PIT) to bring the pursuit to an end.
The operator and sole occupant of the vehicle, Bradley Skelly, was taken into custody.  A Department of Motor Vehicle check on Skelly’s driving record showed he has 11 prior OWI convictions.  A search warrant was applied for and granted for Skelly’s blood.  The results are pending.
