Monthly Stats for August 2025 
During the month of August 2025, the average response time for all calls for service was 6 minutes and 32 seconds. There were 7 Priority 1 Emergency calls during the month with an average response time of 3 minutes and 6 seconds. These response times were derived from the 424 calls that qualify for response-time tracking.
This report includes a summary of the total incidents for all calls for service as well as the total number and type of police reports that were generated. The Patrol Statistics report also includes our total number of arrests as well as citations.
During the month of August 2025, HPD responded to and handled 3,055 calls for service and reported incidents. 692 incidents were resident calls for service and 2,363 were officer-initiated incidents. HPD made 6 arrests and issued 78 total citations in the month.
This report is a summary of all crimes documented and investigated by the Hillsborough Police Department. We are actively investigating the attempted murder of a police officer that occurred on February 22nd (see previous press releases for information). In August, we investigated (3) residential burglaries and (1) “other” burglaries. In 2025, we have investigated (11) residential burglaries and 6 “other” burglaries (construction site, commercial, or vehicle).
On 12/2/24, HPD Officers responded to the Hillsborough School District Office located at 300 El Cerrito Avenue in Hillsborough on a report of a burglary. HSD staff reported that two trucks owned by the school district had been stolen and numerous tools were stolen from other district owned trucks as well as their building. HPD Inspectors conducted an investigation and with the assistance of the Livermore Police Department, South San Francisco Police Department, and Campbell Police Department, identified the suspect as an Oakland resident. On 7/17/25, HPD obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect for one count of commercial burglary, one count of grand theft, two counts of theft of vehicle, and three counts of vehicle tampering. HPD requested the assistance of the US Marshal's Fugitive Task Force and the suspect was subsequently arrested for his warrant For more in-depth details of our operational statistics and crime data, see https://hillsborough.citizenrims.com/map.
