DUI Investigation Launched After Two Vehicles Crash Head-On in Hesperia

LOCATION: Eucalyptus Street and Seventh Avenue, Hesperia
INVOLVED PARTY (1): 30 year old female (Driver) resident of Hesperia
INVOLVED VEHICLE (1): 2008 Toyota Highlander
INVOVLED PARTY (2): 72 year old male (Driver) resident of Apple Valley
INVOLVED VEHICLE (2): 1998 Toyota Tacoma
SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 4, 2025, at about 9:16 p.m., deputies from the Hesperia Station and emergency personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a 2008 Toyota Highlander and a 1998 Toyota Tacoma in the area of Eucalyptus Street and Seventh Avenue in Hesperia.
Through preliminary investigation, it is believed the Highlander traveled west on Eucalyptus Street through the intersection with Fifth Avenue, and the Tacoma traveled east on Eucalyptus Street, east of Seventh Avenue. The Highlander crossed the center line into oncoming traffic and the front of the Highlander collided with the front of the Tacoma in a head-on crash. The driver of the Highlander was transported to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. The driver and female passenger of the Tacoma were transported to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Investigators from the Hesperia Station Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded and assumed the investigation. Alcohol was believed to be a factor in this crash.
