INCIDENT: DUI related crash
LOCATION: Ranchero Road and Kern Avenue, Hesperia
INVOLVED PARTY (1): Robert Escalante, 32-year-old male resident of Hesperia - Driver
INVOLVED VEHICLE (1): 2008 Honda Accord
SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 4, 2025, at about 7:38 a.m., deputies from the Hesperia Station responded to a single vehicle rollover crash involving a 2008 Honda Accord in the area of Ranchero Road and Kern Avenue, in Hesperia.
Through preliminary investigation, it was determined the Honda traveled west on Ranchero Road through the intersection with Kern Avenue. The driver of the Honda, Robert Escalante, crossed over the center line into opposing lanes of traffic, left the south roadway edge of Ranchero Road and rolled over. Deputies responded to the collision scene and contacted the driver. Through investigation, it was determined Escalante operated a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
