INCIDENT: Hit and Run DUI Related Crash
LOCATION: Bear Valley Road and Seventh Avenue, Hesperia
INVOLVED PARTY (1): Michael Dinkins, 32-year-old male resident of Hesperia (Driver)
INVOLVED VEHICLE (1): 2024 Buick Envision
INVOVLED PARTY (2): 33-year-old female (Driver) resident of Victorville
INVOLVED VEHICLE (2): 2019 Toyota 4-Runner
SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 04, 2025, at about 2:36 p.m., deputies from the Hesperia Station responded to a hit and run traffic collision involving a 2024 Buick Envision and a 2019 Toyota 4-Runner in the area of Bear Valley Road and Seventh Avenue, in Hesperia.
Through preliminary investigation, it was determined the 4-Runner traveled east on Bear Valley Road, west of the intersection with Seventh Avenue. The Envision traveled east on Bear Valley Road behind the 4-Runner. As the 4-Runner stopped behind other traffic, it was rearended by the Envision. The driver of the Envision, Michael Dinkins, fled the scene of the collision without providing personal and vehicle information. Deputies located the suspect vehicle (Envision) and contacted the Dinkins who was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence and non-injury hit and run.
