INCIDENT: Distribution of Child Pornography
LOCATION: Unknown Location in the City of Bloomington
VICTIM: Confidential (juvenile) and the State of California
SUSPECT: Daniel Bondietti, a 37-year-old resident of Carlsbad
SUMMARY: Detectives at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department's Fontana Station received an alert from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The alert indicated potential distribution of child pornography on social media.
Detectives evaluated the suspected material and confirmed it was sexually explicit in nature and involved juveniles. Through investigation, Daniel Bondietti was identified as the account holder of the device used to send and receive multiple images of pornographic material involving children.
During the investigation, detectives also learned Bondietti had been named as a suspect in an unrelated child pornography case from another state. Charges have been filed with the other agency and a felony warrant was issued for Bondietti.
Investigators from the Fontana Station and Crimes Against Children unit served a search warrant at the residence of Bondietti. Several electronic devices were seized for evidence processing and Bondetti was taken into custody. He was booked into West Valley Detention Center for the distribution of child pornography and his outstanding warrant.
The investigation is ongoing as investigators believe there may be more victims to be identified. In this endeavor, investigators are seeking the public’s help and releasing a photograph of the suspect. We ask any additional victims to please come forward and file a report with their respective law enforcement agency or contact the Fontana Sheriff’s Station.
