DETAILS: On September 7, 2025, at approximately 6:39 am Officers were dispatched to the intersection of W Framers Ave and Alexandria St on a Motor Vehicle vs. pedestrian collision. Upon their arrival they discovered Stephen Michael Jones, male, 10/04/1994 had walked southbound across the 3700 block of Farmers Ave. He walked into the path of an eastbound 2020 Ford SUV. The SUV struck the pedestrian. Jones died on scene of injuries received in the collision. The collision was not at a crosswalk. Justice of the Peace Bob Crump responded to the scene. Judge Crump ordered an autopsy on Jones. The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department.
