September 8, 2025 City of Somersworth Traffic Detour-Main Street & Indigo Hill Road Intersection Closure Tuesday, September 9, 2025; 7am-5pm The City of Somersworth, in coordination with its contractor GVC, will be closing Main Street at Indigo Hill Road to allow crews to continue vital watermain connection work. During this time, a detour route will be in effect, with clear signage posted to guide drivers onto adjacent streets. Flaggers will be stationed on site to ensure safe access for local traffic, school buses, and emergency vehicles. We encourage motorists to plan ahead, expect minor delays, and use alternate routes whenever possible. A detailed detour map is shown below. We thank residents and commuters for their patience and cooperation as we work to improve our city’s infrastructure.
