Deputy Rodney Crater with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 41-year-old Donnie Lee Dover of Marion with felony Possession of Methamphetamine and felony Possession of a Controlled Substance on Jail Premises He was issued a secured bond of $30,000.
On Monday, Sept. 1, deputies responded to a residence in Marion for a domestic disturbance. While speaking with the victim about the incident, it was discovered that Dover, a visitor at the residence, had outstanding warrants. He was not connected to the domestic disturbance.
Dover was placed under arrest and transported to the McDowell County Detention Center. While being processed, detention officers found Dover had concealed a plastic bag containing a suspected amount of meth on his person.
