The work is scheduled to be completed in mid-December and will be done in the following areas: • Liberty Street between Bentley Avenue and just past Oak Knoll Drive Main Street between E. Liberty Street and E. Water Street • School Street between N. Main Street and Stewart Street • Walnut Street between N. Main Street and Mackey Street Please expect delays in these work areas. Traffic control measures will be setup in the work zone. Some detours will reroute drivers to keep the community safe. Please note: The southbound lanes of Main Street will be closed while work is being completed on the west side of the street, then the zone will be flipped when working on the east side of Main Street with the same closures. No parking will be permitted along Main Street in the project boundary during this project. The City of Hubbard will have "No Parking Signs" posted the week of Sept. 8, 2025. The company will replace bare steel gas lines with corrosion-resistant plastic lines. The project is part of Enbridge Gas Ohio's Pipeline Infrastructure Replacement (PIR) program, which was launched in 2008 to replace more than 5,500 miles of gas utility lines in the company's service area. The program is a key part of the company's system modernization and its efforts to reduce methane emissions. As of the end of 2024, the company has replaced more than 2,600 miles of gas lines. As part of the work, the company or its contractors will replace service lines which run from the curb to the meter for approximately 72 customers. The company will attempt to notify customers 24- to 48-hours prior to this replacement work to arrange access. If an interior service line needs to be inspected or tested, or a meter needs to be changed, it will be completed at no charge.
