Please be advised that, effective immediately, Skimmer Rd, the access road to the Jekyll Island/DNR Boat Ramp located on Jekyll Creek, is temporarily closed due to a culvert washout.
The timeline for repairs is unknown at this time. The Jekyll Island Authority is working with the Georgia Department of Transportation on a repair plan and aims to reopen as quickly as feasible.
