Hurricane Kiko Update #4
Monday 9/8 5pm Forecast
A high surf warning is in effect for east facing shores ahead of Hurricane Kiko. The National Weather Service 5pm forecast update continues to show Hurricane Kiko passing north of the Hawaiian Islands this week.
Honolulu Ocean Safety Department and the State Department of Land and Natural Resources have closed the Makapu’u lighthouse trail and tide pools this afternoon through Wednesday in anticipation of dangerous storm surf for east facing shores generated by Hurricane Kiko.
The City and County of Honolulu Department of Emergency Management continues to encourage residents to take action to be ready in case of disasters.
