Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in locating Thomas F. Davis, 44, of East Orange, who is wanted for questioning in connection with a carjacking that occurred on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
At approximately 1:50 p.m., a woman standing near her vehicle at Oxford Street near Fleming Avenue was grabbed from behind by a man who shoved her to the ground, entered her vehicle, and drove away, heading west on Fleming Avenue. The carjacked vehicle is a black 2018 BMW. Inside the car was the victim’s purse, cell phone, and other personal belongings. The car was later recovered in the 200 block of 7th Avenue.
Detectives investigating this incident are seeking Thomas F. Davis (also known as Tom Tom) for questioning. He is described as having a dark brown complexion, 5’7” tall, and 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
