Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in locating Jamarcus Fennel, 35, of Pennsylvania, who is wanted for questioning about a shooting that occurred on September 1, 2025.
At approximately 9:18 a.m., the Shot Spotter detection system picked up gunfire on Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard near Oriental Street. Police Officers responded, canvassed the area, and located six 9mm shell casings.
Fennel, who has ties to New Jersey, is 5’8,” weighs 170 to 185 pounds, and has brown eyes. He is the owner of the vehicle pictured below, an orange and black 2015 Ford Mustang bearing Pennsylvania registration (MVG7064).
