At 403 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles southeast of Newkirk, or 27 miles east of Santa Rosa, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Montoya and Newkirk. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 294 and 317.
