Public Invited to Meridian Anti-Drug Coalition’s 20th Annual Recovery Day Breakfast
WHO: Meridian Anti-Drug Coalition (MADC), Mayor Robert Simison, and Meridian Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea will welcome guests.
WHEN: Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
WHERE: Meridian City Hall, Meeting Rooms A/B
33 E. Broadway Ave., Meridian, ID 83642
WHAT: The Meridian Anti-Drug Coalition presents the 20th Annual Recovery Day Breakfast, held each September in honor of National Recovery Month.
“Join us for this special event as we come together to celebrate the successes of individuals in recovery and those who provide vital support along the way. Through our speaker’s personal journey, we will hear how Idaho does things differently,” said Kendall Nagy, Director of the Meridian Anti-Drug Coalition (MADC).
Guest speaker Bryan Kaminskas, National Director of Hope House, will share his personal experience as a shining example of recovery. His journey is living proof that recovery is not only attainable but also sustainable, offering encouragement to individuals and families across the Treasure Valley.
“The road to recovery is a difficult one, and for 20 years the Celebrate Recovery Breakfast hosted by MADC has helped encourage those who are struggling through addiction,” said Mayor Robert Simison. “This event helps remind us that recovery is not a solitary journey, and that a brighter and healthier future is always within reach.”
Meridian Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea added, “Each year, we gather to hear powerful stories of redemption and resilience—stories of breaking free from addiction, and stories that remind us that hope is never lost. Hope for those trapped in their darkest moments. Hope for those in the throes of addiction. Hope for those who believe they have none. That hope is why the Recovery Day Breakfast matters—not just to individuals, but to the very heart of our city and our community.”
A light breakfast will be served at this free community event. Everyone is welcome.
