In RECOGNITION of 9-11 (known as Patriots Day) - our city flag flies at half-staff AND also with respect of shocking loss of Charlie Kirk. 
The City of Merriam Woods wishes to take this time to honor the victims on "9-11".... officially recognized now as, PATRIOTS DAY. A Day Recognized with Honor with the lowing of the flag to half-mast.
ALSO, in regrettable timing - and by order of the Governor of the State of Missouri, flags are to be flown at half mast, - in recognition of the the terribly shocking news yesterday of the loss of Charlie Kirk.
The City takes pause today and shares our best wishes - along with a mourning nation at large...our simple and meager gestures of acknowledgements of goodwill, well intended wishes and prayers.
