On September 5th, 2025, a DUI checkpoint was held on Arneill Road north of Ponderosa Drive from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. 711 vehicles passed through the checkpoint and 711 drivers were contacted.
One person was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and four were cited for driving without a license. Three additional drivers were cited for provisional license violations.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of a DUI checkpoint is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
