TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Street Closures Announced Due to Restoration of Red Bricks Crosswalks 
Saturday, September 13, 2025 and Sunday, September 14, 2025
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., announces that the following streets will be closed during the hours below due to the restoration of red bricks crosswalk project.
Beginning from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Saturday, September 13, 2025
• Market Street between McCarter Highway and Mulberry Street
Beginning from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Sunday, September 14, 2025
• Market Street and Raymond Boulevard
• Ferry Street and Edison Place
• Alling Street and Edison Place
• Market Street and McCarter Highway
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and plan alternate routes.
Director Miranda thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this event. He also urges anyone with information regarding criminal activities to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
