What is on the ballot
Hoboken Registered voters can vote in the upcoming Nov. 4 general election for NJ Governor, LT. Governor, NJ General Assembly District 32, Hudson County Sheriff, Hoboken Mayor, three At-Large City Council People, Sixth Ward City Council Person, and Three Trustees on the Hoboken School Board.
Register to vote online or in-person for the Nov.4 election
Residents who are not yet registered to vote and would like to vote in the upcoming Nov. 4 general election must register by the end of day on Oct. 14.
To submit your voter registration online, visit: https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/register. You must provide your date of birth and either a current and valid driver's license or non-driver ID issued by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) or your Social Security number.
Residents can also download a voter registration application online and submit it to the Hudson County Clerk's Office at Hudson County Plaza, 257 Cornelison Avenue, 4th Floor, Jersey City, NJ 07302, or the Hoboken City Clerk at 94 Washington Street, no later than 4 pm.

The Hoboken City Clerk's Office (94 Washington Street, 1st Floor) will be open until 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, Friday, Oct. 10, and Tuesday, Oct. 14, to accept paper voter registration applications. Residents must enter City Hall from Newark Street.
How to vote
Registered voters have three ways to cast their ballot:
- Vote by mail
- In-person early voting
- Election day in-person voting
Voting by mail
Registered voters interested in casting a Mail-in ballot must apply for a Mail-in Ballot by mail before the Oct. 28 deadline or in person by 3 p.m. on Nov. 3. For more information on how to apply for a mail in ballot, go to https://www.nj.gov/state/elections/vote-by-mail.shtml.

There are three ways voters can submit their completed VBM ballot:
Voters can return their VBM ballot by placing it in the nearest mailbox using the U.S. Postal Service. The ballot must be postmarked on or before Nov. 4 and received by the Board of Elections.
There are also three secure ballot-drop box locations in Hoboken where voters can drop off their VBM ballot; one at Hoboken City Hall at 94 Washington St. on Newark Street, one at the Stevens University Gateway Building at Hudson Street and Sixth Street, and one on Monroe Street between Seventh and Eighth Streets. Voters must submit their VBM ballot in a secure drop box on or before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Voters can also return their mail-in ballot in person to the Hudson County Board of Elections Office by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4. The Hudson County Board of Elections Office is located at Hudson County Plaza, 257 Cornelison Avenue, 4th Floor, Jersey City, NJ 07302. NOTE: VBM ballots CANNOT be returned to ANY early voting location or to a polling place on election day.

In-person early voting begins Saturday, Oct. 25
In-person early voting for the General Election begins on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. Registered voters can cast their ballot in person, using a voting machine, in Hoboken City Hall's first-floor conference room or at the Mile Square Theatre at 420 14th St. Both early voting locations will be open from Oct. 25 through Nov. 2. The voting location will be open on weekdays and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Voters using City Hall, located at 94 Washington St., as their early voting location, should enter City Hall from Newark Street.
In-person voting on Election Day
Residents can also cast their ballot at their registered polling place on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
