The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is proud to announce that Assistant Chief James Beere has graduated as a member of the 295th session of the FBI National Academy. The graduation took place at the National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, on September 4, 2025. Nationally, fewer than one percent of officers have the opportunity to attend the program.
The 295th session consisted of 254 law enforcement officers from 49 states and the District of Columbia. The class also included members of law enforcement agencies from 20 countries, 10 members of six military organizations, and four members of federal civilian organizations.
