Firefighter Training at Pier Park- GPF 
On Tues, Sept. 16, and Thurs, Sept. 18, Grosse Pointe Farms firefighters and their Auto-Aid partners will be conducting live fire training at Pier Park using a mobile flashover chamber funded by State Firework Funds.
During the training, residents and visitors in the area may see smoke coming from the training area at Pier Park. Smoke may be visible between 10 am and 3 pm. There will be 3 different evolutions throughout the day. Please do not be alarmed – this is a controlled training exercise supervised by certified instructors and safety officers.
We appreciate the community’s support as we work to ensure our firefighters are ready to respond safely and effectively to real emergencies.
