5/26 – 5:41 a.m. – Police were called for a verbal disturbance. While investigating it was discovered one of the parties involved had an active Monroe County warrant for possession of methamphetamine. During the arrest, the subject was found to be in possession of a controlled substance, which was delivered to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab for analysis. Once the test results were obtained the police report was sent to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges. On September 8th, the state’s attorney’s office charged the defendant, Jordan J. Helfrich age 31 of Millstadt, with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine; a Class 3 Criminal Felony. He was arrested on the warrant by the Waterloo Police Department.
