Local Teacher Arrested 
On September 10th, 2025, the City of Janesville Police Department spoke with a special agent from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The special agent was conducting undercover chats on the mobile messaging application KIK in furtherance of child exploitation investigations and exchanged messages with a Janesville resident, later identified as Adam J Teal.
On September 11th, 2025, detectives reviewed the information provided by the Department of Homeland Security.
On September 12th, 2025, detectives spoke with Adam Teal and arrested him for Representations Depicting Nudity, related to the crime against an adult victim.
The investigation is ongoing. No further information will be released at this time.
