UPDATE: Detectives Continue Park Vandalism Investigation and Serve Search Warrant Where a Semi-Automatic Gun was Located

On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the Hesperia Detective Bureau, with the assistance of the San Bernardino County Regional Gang Team and Ontario Police Department, executed a search warrant in the 100 block of South Euclid Avenue. During the search warrant, detectives located a semi-automatic handgun with ammo. The gun was illegally possessed, and a criminal report was forwarded to the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office.

SUMMARY: On Thursday, July 31, 2025, Hesperia Civic Park was found vandalized. Many of the city sidewalks, the fountain, and fenced enclosures within the park were damaged.
On Wednesday , August 27, 2025, the Hesperia Gang Team/Detective Bureau, San Bernardino Regional Gang Team, Apple Valley Station Gang Team, Victor Valley Detectives, Jail Intel Team, and San Bernardino County Probation executed four search warrants and conducted several probation checks, in Hesperia, related to vandalism throughout the city and at Civic Park.
In total, 11 subjects were arrested, with the majority of the subjects being documented gang members. Three gang members, identified as Matthew Vera, Jaime Cibriam-Tecuanhuey, and Arthuro Garcia, were involved in the vandalism at Civic Park and were arrested during the operation.
Investigators arrested eight additional suspects for various charges, including probation and weapon violations, as well as narcotics possession. Gang related evidence was also located and seized.
