* At 436 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Mermentau to near Thornwell to near Iowa, moving south at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include... Iowa, Lake Arthur, Mermentau, Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge, Hayes, Klondike, Thornwell, Lowry, and Bell City.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with these storms.
