9/16 – 10:24 p.m. – Police conducted a traffic stop on Floraville Road and Saxtown Road for speeding. During the stop, the subject was found to be in possession of a suspected controlled substance, and he was taken into custody. On September 17th, the defendant, Corey A. Word age 47 of Smithton, was charged by the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (cocaine); a Class 4 Criminal Felony.
