Northbound I-49 to remain closed at Commercial St. for several hours 
At this time, all northbound lanes of Interstate 49 are closed at S Commercial Street, as emergency crews remain at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash.
All northbound lanes will remain closed for several hours; until the investigation can be completed, the vehicles involved can be removed and the roadway cleared of any debris.
During this closure, vehicles traveling north on I-49 can exit at S Commercial St, and can get back on I-49 at either Mechanic Street (MO-7 Hwy) or at MO-291 Hwy. All southbound lanes and exits are open.
We have learned that one person has died as a result of this crash. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family and friends.
